I was reading dear Marisa's blog the other day in office during lunch time and my 課長 happened to walk past and was like "Wow! You're reading in Japanese". I replied that it was my friend's blog and he was impressed that it was in Japanese. Then he said that I should blog in Japanese too (he doesnt know that I have a blog), so as to improve my Japanese. Then I realised that ya, I have not really blogged in Japanese for ages. So I am going to TRY to blog more in Japanese. But NOT all.

So here goes.

Children carrying a 神輿(Mikoshi), a portable shrine just outside my apartment. Sorry, for the blur photo. Was walking.

Children carrying a 神輿(Mikoshi), a portable shrine just outside my apartment.

Didn't know what was the occasion, but the kids were cute. A tiny procession passing my apartment building.

先輩had 2 tickets to see some art exhibition and asked me along. So we went last Saturday. Before entering the exhibition, we had lunch at a French restaurant at the 東京国立近代美術館 (The National Museum of Modern Art).

Yea, this butter cost 500yen. That is like SGD 7.50? Nuts!

This was yummy!

Creme Brulee

During lunch, this happened.

Yup, so it wasn't my imagination! There was an earthquake. Apparently 3 or something on the Richter Scale. It was really mild.

So anyway, we went into the exhibition hall. And there were actually people taking photos. Like, are you even allowed to do that?

We didnt take any photos until we came to this particular painting which was very interesting. So we gave in and decided to take just this picture.

Title of the painting and the artist's name. Basically the title means a mixture of several stories.

How many stories can you spot in this painting?

Sambal Kangkong

Lychee Lemon Drink

Fish Head Curry! Sorry, half-eaten. The curry was fabulous. But there was practically no fish.

Nasi Goreng

It was great but freaking expensive.

The following pictures are at my sis's request. She keeps bugging me.
To sis: you can check out this link. But the T-shirts that I bought cant be found here.
