The 4 of us

This is like one of the scariest ride that none of us took. It's like more than vertical up and down! Just by looking at it I was quite freaked out. Haha.

While I was at Fukuoka, there was a 祭り called 山笠(Yamakasa). The final event was on the 15th of July where there would be a race between different parts of Fukuoka. 7 teams will race while carrying a Mikoshi. The race starts at 4.49am, thus we went out for karaoke from 10pm.

8 of us went. Gen, Marisa, Ashleigh and me, plus (from left) かおり、まさ、なぎさandあゆみ。

The カラオケ館 is すごい！It has free flow of drinks and the rooms are beautiful! They have so many different kinds of rooms. And what shocked us the most was that beside the drink counter, there were flamingoes! Flamingoes! Can you imagine that? Like, what are flamingoes doing in a カラオケ館?!

After that, we headed to one of the spots where the race would pass by. By the way, this was a typhoon day. It was super cold and windy. I was freezing and shivering from head to toe the whole night/morning.

The runners when they ran by. I thought that this pic was not bad. Shows all the hard work and preservarance that they are going through. I mean it was freaking cold!

One of the Mikoshi that passed by. See that stream of water on the right? When the teams pass by with the Mikoshi, you're supposed to throw water at them. I was splashed once. -_-''' Adding to my freezing state.

We had a farewell party at the dormitory that I was staying at. It was only 3 weeks into the program coz the rest of the girls were going for homestay. I didn't opt for homestay, so I stayed there for 6 weeks. 寂しい!
